YouTube Planning to Hide 'Dislikes' in Videos
#1
This has been breaking for quite a while. What do you think?

I don't see how this benefits anything. YouTube's comment section is by far one of the worst things imposed on mankind, but what are they instead worried about? Obscuring "dislike" counts because that allegedly "hurts small creators".

Mark my words, people will always find a way around that shit -- even if you manually disabled both comments and "likes", there will be trolls and other assholes downloading your videos and reuploading them somewhere else for ridicule.

It doesn't even need to be mentioned the fact that other video streaming platforms exist and are growing at a rapid pace, so if Google wants to keep putting more nails in YouTube's coffin, go right ahead.

People have a lot more choices than ever before, and on top of being sick and tired of so many ads and other unwanted garbage forced on them, they'll find better platforms to hang out at. This is what happens when people depend on Big Tech corporations way too much -- they get saturated with all this wealth and influence, they lose focus of what they once were all about.
