Favorite Power Metal Album of 1991?

Vote for your favorite 1991 power metal albums! Running Wild, Titan Force, Iced Earth, Vicious Rumors, Metal Church, Heavens Gate, and Rata Blanca are some of the hottest picks. Sadly, however, Helloween and X Japan were no longer themselves at this point, although the former would take a couple more albums to get back on their feet. Catch them again by 1994.

I'm going with Iced Earth on this one. The rest are all either equally good or just inconsistent. Night of the Stormrider has to be the band's darkest release to date, and the vocalist change certainly helped their case. I also really dig Sleepy Hollow's album, as well as Running Wild's Blazon Stone and Vicious Rumors' Welcome to the Ball. One EP I'd like to mention as a huge favorite is Babylon's Farewell...., which featured Hellen guitarist Yasumitsu Shimizu.

1. Gamma Ray (DE) - Sigh No More

2. Heavens Gate (DE) - Livin' in Hysteria

3. Iced Earth (US) - Night of the Stormrider

4. Metal Church (US) - The Human Factor

5. Pokolgép (HU) - Adj Új Erőt

6. Rata Blanca (AR) - Guerrero del Arco Iris

7. Running Wild (DE) - Blazon Stone

8. Sleepy Hollow (US) - Sleepy Hollow

9. Titan Force (US) - Winner/Loser

10. Vicious Rumors (US) - Welcome to the Ball

Welcome to the Ball, as it's my second favorite Vicious Rumors album.

All great albums, but my choice is Sigh No More, Kai rules!

it's a chosen way of life!"

For the time being, my vote goes for Livin' in Hysteria.
