Favorite Death Metal Album of 2013?

After a bit of an absence, it's finally back! I apologize for the wait, but lets get to it; you all know how it works. Just wanted to get this out, need to re-learn how to format these, so for the time being I'll just link the Youtube or Bandcamp link below the album art.

1) Altars (AU) - Paramnesia

https://altarsdeath.bandcamp.com/album/paramnesia

2) Antediluvian (CA) - λόγος

https://antediluvian.bandcamp.com/album/-

3) Beyond (DE) - Fatal Power of Death

https://ironboneheadproductions.bandcamp...r-of-death

4) Gorguts (CA) - Colored Sands

https://gorguts.bandcamp.com/album/colored-sands

5) Grave Miasma (UK) - Odori Sepulcrorum

https://profoundlorerecords.bandcamp.com...ulcrorum-2

6) Katalepsy (RU) - Autopsychosis

https://uniqueleaderrecords.bandcamp.com...opsychosis

7) Krypts (FI) - Unending Degradation

https://darkdescentrecords.bandcamp.com/...egradation

8) Obliteration (NO) - Black Death Horizon

https://blackdeathhorizon.bandcamp.com/releases

9) Sulphur Aeon (DE) - Swallowed By the Ocean's Tide

10) Ulcerate (NZ) - Vermis

https://ulcerate.bandcamp.com/album/vermis

Honorable Mentions:
Autopsy (US) - The Headless Ritual
Carcass (UK) - Surgical Steel
Enshine (SE/FR) - Origin
Entrails (SE) - Raging Death
Eternal Tears of Sorrow (FI) - Saivon lapsi
Exhumed (US) - Necrocrasy
Hail of Bullets (NL) - III: The Rommel Chronicles
Hypocrisy (SE) - End of Disclosure
Imprecation (US) - Satanae Tenebris Infinita
Irkallian Oracle (SE) - Grave Ekstasis
Katechon (NO) - Man, God, Giant
Lantern (FI) - Below
Portal (AU) - Vexovoid
Prosanctus Inferi (US) - Noctambulous Jaws Within Sempiternal Night
Sacriphyx (AU) - The Western Front
Slugdge (UK) - Putrid Death Sorcery
Smothered (SE) - The Inevitable End
Suffocation (US) - Pinnacle of Bedlam
Tribulation (SE) - The Formulas of Death
Tyrants Blood (CA) - Into the Kingdom of Graves
Vastum (US) - Patricidal Lust
Verminous (SE) - The Unholy Communion
Vorum (AX) - Poisoned Void
Wolfheart (FI) - Winterborn
Zealotry (US) - The Charnel Expanse

Not sure why a couple images got scaled down and can't be viewed; the Kyrpts image is smaller than the Altars image.. anyhow, my vote goes to Sulphur Aeon's Swallowed By the Ocean's Tide. Great shit.

I fixed your links. It's because some of them had this:
Code:
http://https://site.domain
Also, for horizontal lines, just use this:
Code:
[hr]
Try disabling WYSIWYG mode to prevent those kinds of errors.

Anyway, I think the only death metal album released in 2013 that I own is Thou Art Lord's The Regal Pulse of Lucifer. If the album wasn't so cheap or still in print, I'd probably have sold it off by now.

I like just about every release mentioned, but ended up voting for Beyond. Something about that album just gets my blood pumping!

I thought I had erased the double http in them all, haha. Must have been pretty tired or something.

It's due to the new forum upgrade that somewhat messed up the post editor, but this was a default thing. I'm still looking for a proper solution, but it had to be that we either stick with an outdated version and risk security issues or sacrifice some useful functions in favor of stability.

I prefer to just type out the codes, although I understand the convenience of just clicking the buttons to get through the hassle. It's nice to see these polls active again, though!

What I love to see in these polls is wide voting distribution for the 10 albums included in the poll like this poll, haha

Just re-listened to Beyond's Fatal Power of Death for the first time in a long while though, and I'm tempted to change my vote to that. Fucking phenomenal album; they need to hurry up and come out with their next album. This was their last album, and Metal Archives still lists them as active.

When things are more spread out, they can be pretty interesting. I think I'll have more of a say for death metal in 2014 and maybe 2015. Stuff like Trenchrot, Dead Congregation, Perdition Temple, and maybe Ripper.

Fuck yeah, you can bet your ass on Trenchrot and Dead Congregation being in the upcoming polls. I won't know about the other 2 until I go about making the polls, but they're very likely as well.

Some pretty cool albums are mentioned. My vote goes to Hail of Bullets' album. In 2013 was Surgical Steel of Carcass my favorite death metal album, that has changed over the years though. It's still a good one, just the HoB album is better nowadays.

Another great album. Unfortunately, Death Metal is such a strong genre, it's hard to limit it to just 10 selections a year.
